Resource Recovery Group Canning Vale Centre
The Resource Recovery Group owns and operates the Canning Vale Centre. The Centre lies at the centre of the Resource Recovery Group’s Regional Waste Management Strategy, delivering many environmental, social and economic benefits. The Centre strives to maximise the amount of waste diverted from landfill into resource recovery facilities; leading to a more environmentally sound and sustainable future.
World class processing technologies were carefully selected to ensure all facilities work together to manage waste streams cohesively and efficiently. The Facility Includes:
- The FOGO Processing Facility (FPF) for organic waste processing of the contents of the lime green lidded FOGO bins.
- The Materials Recovery Facility (MRF) for the sorting and recovery of recyclable materials from yellow lidded bins.
- The Green Waste Facility (GWF) where we process green waste placed out on the verge by residents for verge collection.
- The Resource Recovery Group – Canning Vale Centre processes waste and recyclables from over 145,000 residents in Perth’s Southern Suburbs.
